Chopin
The creative process of this series involves immersing herself in Frédéric Chopin’s music, translating its melodies into deeply personal visual expressions. She allows herself to be fully enveloped by the profound sensations the music stirs within her.
Using acrylic ink on wet paper, she strives to maximize the spontaneity of movement, letting the brush draw freely without deliberate guidance from sight. By keeping her eyes closed, she ensures that her movements are directed solely by what she hears, allowing the music to flow through her and guide her brushwork.
Rather than interpreting entire compositions, she often focuses on specific passages, distilling the essence of those moments into clear and resonant visuals. Additionally, she plays the same opera repeatedly while painting, layering her expressions over previous strokes. This method allows her to capture the evolving nuances and deeper resonances of the music, reflecting how her emotional response shifts with each encounter.
